DCI manages any conflict of interest and ensures the objectivity of its energy management system certification activities utilizing a combination of the tools of risk analysis, internal auditing, and management review. These activities are then reviewed by members of an independent Committee to Protect Impartiality on a periodic basis to ensure DCI conformance with ANSI MSE 2000:2008 and the new measurement and verification protocol being developed by Superior Energy Performance pilot program participants and partners. These activities are audited on a periodic basis by ANSI in its role as the accreditation body.
